Monvigliero is the historic hill of Verduno, one of the most prestigious “cru” of the Barolo area.
Our Barolo Monvigliero Riserva is the result of passion, a long and careful process in the cellar, and a constant search for its best expression.
Vineyards are located inside the municipality of Verduno.
The grapes are harvested by hand when fully ripe, during the first weeks of October.
The grapes are soft pressed, destammed and placed in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks to ferment for a period of 15 days at an average temperature of 25-30° C. The wine ages in French oak barrels for few years before being released.
The wine is bottled after few years and will age for few years longer into the bottle.
The colour is ruby red with orange shades. Pronounced flavour intensity, spicy, nuts, earth, forest floor, chocolate, tobacco.
